We are delivering all of our classroom courses via Live Online for the foreseeable future and will look to reopen classrooms when it is safe and practical to do so. An interim CIMA Live Online Timetable has been created for courses through to end September 2020. Instructions and further details can be found on the CIMA timetable page.
CIMA’s objective tests are available from 4th May onwards. Students will be able to sit this assessment at home using established Pearson Vue remote testing software.
Please do not try and book an exam at a physical exam centres - you must select remote testing in the booking process. You will be able to take your own calculator into the exam, but it must be one from the approved list.

Covid-19 and the May 2020
Management Level Case Study Exam
Candidates should approach the examination questions on the basis of the information that was provided in the pre-seen, which was written before the lockdown and so does not refer to it. The variants were also written on the basis established in the pre-seen, with a hotel group operating on a “business as usual” basis.
As always, marks will be awarded for valid arguments that are relevant to the question. Answers that make relevant references to the lockdown will, of course, be marked on their merits. In most cases, however, candidates may find it unhelpful to assume that there are significant travel restrictions and associated closures of leisure activities. We would not recommend that candidates should try to add additional complications to their study by trying to include information on the virus as it is very much a live and unknown situation.
To be clear, candidates who fail to address the requirements by arguing that the hotels will be closed or that customers will be forbidden to travel are unlikely to receive any credit.
Scheduling for all remote testing through OnVUE exams is targeted to open on 22 April 2020. You can book your exam in the usual way through My CIMA launch. This applies to Certificate of Business Accounting, Professional Qualification, and UK Apprenticeships. If you have an existing booking for a test-centre based exam you will need to cancel this, get a full refund and then schedule your new exam.
Before booking we recommend you test the equipment you plan to take your exams on with a system test launch. You must do a system test before your exams so please check this out as soon as you can, before you schedule.
The exam format will stay the same, but the presentation is very slightly different. Take a look at one of the new practice tests launch (please note: you will need to sign in or create an account and then you can select the free practice test).
CIMA has added more FAQs launch including technical specifications, room requirements, how to test your computer and more.
CIMA will be using Pearson’s OnVUE system for the Objective Tests. For more information watch this short video launch (note: a proctor is the same as an invigilator).
