Celebrating the success of our Kaplan Accountancy Scholarship Winners

Kaplan Scholarship Awards 2015 winners

On Friday 26th June we were pleased to celebrate the success of our 2015 Accountancy Scholarships winners with our annual awards day at the Birmingham centre.

Each year Kaplan awards a £15,000 Accountancy Scholarship, giving six 16 -18 year olds the opportunity to kick-start their career in accounting or finance with an Apprenticeship followed by the opportunity to study professional qualifications up to chartered status (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA or CTA).

The process for candidates is rigorous and involves an online application, submitting their CV and telephone interview before facing a Dragons Den-style panel made up of Kaplan staff and clients – no easy feat when it’s your first job interview!

Winners on the day were joined by their friends and family and members of the Apprenticeships team from Kaplan to recognise their achievements with their award presented by Ian Hancocks, Director of Client Solutions.

Dominic Morgan, one our Scholars said:

"I always knew I didn’t want to go to University, so I researched other options and discovered that you could do an accountancy apprenticeship. I wanted to learn more about the profession so got in touch with Kaplan and registered for the Scholarship, and was delighted when I found out I had won! I hope from doing my accountancy apprenticeship to work for a good firm and become a chartered accountant"

Congratulations to all of our 2015 scholars and good luck for the future!
