We are thrilled to see the Professional Accountancy and Tax Technician Level 4 Trailblazer standard signed off this week after a significant period of development by a group of leading professional services firms, professional bodies and training providers.
Kaplan has been heavily involved in the creation of this new standard that aims to widen access to the audit, accountancy and tax professions.
The new employer led standards are set to replace existing Apprenticeship frameworks and have been created to meet the needs of employers and apprentices, specifically around job roles, detailing the knowledge and skills apprentices will need to succeed as tax, audit or accountancy professionals. They also provide apprentices with the opportunity to study towards a professional qualification.
“It is fantastic to see this standard finally get approval during National Apprenticeship Week” said Cassandra Macdonald, Head of Professional Service Apprenticeships at Kaplan. “The development of this Apprenticeship has been a truly collaborative effort by many within the sector, allowing more flexibility in terms of assessing the key attributes that make a Professional Accountancy or Tax Technician. We are looking forward to working with employers on delivering this new standard in the near future.”
