Over the past few weeks, the Kaplan Apprenticeship team has been travelling around the country to discuss the latest changes to accountancy and financial apprenticeships and to provide guidance about the levy.
Kaplan held a series of breakfast briefings in Manchester, Leeds, London and Birmingham which proved to be highly popular with employers from all sectors. We were joined by charity partner Leadership Through Sport and Business and by many professional bodies including AAT, ACCA, ATT, CIMA, CII, ICAEW and ILM to discuss the new Apprenticeship standards that have been developed around specific job roles, the upcoming release of level 7 and funding options.
Cassandra Macdonald, Head of Client Solutions: Apprenticeships, said “The breakfast events were a great success, we had a fantastic turnout and it was a great opportunity to talk with clients, prospective employers and industry professionals. There were plenty of lively discussions and the hot topic was the imminent release of the Level 7 Apprenticeships in Accountancy and Financial Services with many people asking about these Masters level qualifications that we anticipate will be ready for delivery very soon.
It was also great to be joined again by Leadership Through Sport and Business, a charity that supports bright young people who face disadvantage into rewarding careers in business, finance and accountancy.”
Ian Hancocks, Director of Client Solutions and Account Management, said “This was a great opportunity for us to get a group of employers together to discuss Apprenticeships. We’d like to thank everyone who attended, including the professional bodies and Leadership Through Sport and Business and hope everyone found it a useful session.”
Do not worry if you have missed these events: Kaplan will be running another breakfast briefing on 28th September 2017 in London, at One Moorgate Place.
