OnDemand or Distance Learning - which study method is right for you?

An ipad with a tutor on it

We have many different study methods, and two that are quite similar are OnDemand and Distance Learning. So what are the differences, and which one is best for you?

OnDemand

OnDemand gives you the flexibility to study when and where you want, with online resources designed by our learning and subject expert to give you structure, keep you motivated, and cement your understanding of the subject.

If you want a high level of structured guidance and support, but can’t attend scheduled classes, then OnDemand might be a better study method for you. You study in your own time, in your own way, but will have milestones to reach along the way.

With OnDemand you get:

  • Interactive online resources, including expert tutor videos which cover all the key aspects of the syllabus - bringing the tutor into your home
  • A structured study programme
  • Exam questions to help you prepare
  • Access to our Academic Support team seven days a week
  • A Progression Advisor who monitors your progress to help you keep your studies on track
  • Access to MyKaplan - where you can access your learning and keep track of your progress.

Try a free five day trial or demo of OnDemand for AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, to see if it would work for your way of learning.

Distance Learning

Our Distance Learning courses are our most flexible study method as it's designed for entirely independent study. You choose when, where and how you study, without the need to hit particular milestones. You get a range of online and printed materials, written by our subject experts, and you’ll get access to our Academic Support team.

If you’re after complete independence and the freedom to study when and where you want, then our Distance Learning courses may be the way forward for you.

With Distance Learning you get:

  • Study materials including course textbooks, exam kits, and pocket notes
  • Access to tutors
  • Computer marked mock exams
  • Online learning resources for some of the key syllabus areas
  • Access to MyKaplan - where you can access your learning and keep track of your progress.

Try a free five day trial of our Distance Learning courses for AAT, ACCA or CIMA, to see if it works for you.
