Comprehensive learning

Apprenticeships take between one and four years to complete, through a combination of work-based projects, practical workshops, progress reviews, and tutor led courses. They often have the option to achieve a professional qualification or certification.

Who can do an apprenticeship?

Simply put, anyone can do an apprenticeship. No matter what stage you’re at in your career, an apprenticeship could suit you very well. If you’ve just left education, it’ll give you the skills and knowledge you need to start a career. If you’re already in a role, an apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to develop and gain essential skills, as well boost your career prospects for the future.

  • Apprenticeships aren’t just for young people

    You have to be over 16, but anyone can start an apprenticeship at any age. Kaplan’s oldest adult apprentice is 72!

  • Graduates can do an apprenticeship

    As long as they are learning significant new skills and their degree isn’t in something similar at the same level.

  • Options for everyone, at every level

  • Existing staff can do an apprenticeship

    No matter how long they’ve been working at a company, as long as an apprenticeship has significant new learning, existing staff are eligible. In fact it’s a great way to build your skills whilst you keep working.
