What you’ll learn

ACCA Levels

However you choose to study, the ACCA qualification is split into three levels - Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills, and Strategic Professional. If you have an accountancy or finance degree, or are AAT qualified, you may be eligible to start studying ACCA at the Strategic Professional level.

To achieve your ACCA qualification you’ll need to complete or have exemptions from all three levels, have three years of relevant practical experience and have completed an Ethics and Professional Skills module.

Other routes to becoming ACCA qualified

Foundations

Foundations is a suite of awards from the ACCA that teaches you the fundamentals of accounting. If you are new to accountancy, or if you’re already working in finance but have no formal qualifications, ACCA Foundations is the perfect place to start. There are no minimum entry requirements, and once you’ve passed, you can move onto Applied Skills.

Designed jointly by the University and ACCA, you can combine your professional achievements with a Research and Analysis Project (RAP) to gain a Bachelor's degree from a leading UK university. All learners and members must submit all requirements for the BSc programme by May 2026.
