About the centre

This centre offers a modern, fully equipped learning environment, conveniently located within walking distance of Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations. The centre delivers classroom-based tuition for ACCA, AAT, CIMA, ACA, ATT, CTA, breakout areas, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Learners benefit from personalised academic support and have access to nearby transport links, cafés, and parking.

Important access update: From 20 July 2026, a lift upgrade project will begin at the St James building and is expected to last for approximately 12 months. During this time, all students must use the North Entrance (next to Pizza Express) to access the building.

Please note: You will not need a fob to access the building during the upgrade works. Use the stairs where you are able. Allow extra time to arrive for your classes and exams.

Accessibility: If you have accessibility requirements or are unable to use the stairs, a FlexStep is available to provide step-free access.

Transport links

Kaplan Manchester is conveniently located in Manchester city centre and is easily accessible by car and public transport. To ensure a smooth start, please arrive at the centre at least 10 minutes before your course begins, allowing ample time to locate your classroom and get settled.

Kaplan Manchester is in Manchester city centre and is accessible from major motorway networks and the M60 ring road.

Bus

Oxford Street is on one of the main bus routes into Manchester city centre and is served by a large number of buses.

Wi-Fi

All Kaplan centres have guest Wi-Fi, so you can bring your laptop and log on during your breaks if you wish.

Breakout areas

Your course timetable will detail specific class times, and you can expect short breaks during each session, with a dedicated lunch break from 1pm to 2pm, daily.

For your convenience, the Kaplan Manchester centre offers designated breakout areas with seating for breaks. We also provide water machines for you to easily fill a reusable bottle. While on-site food and drink is not available, a variety of local outlets and supermarkets are located nearby for purchases, or you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch.

There are a number of car parks within walking distance of the centre, including a car park directly opposite.

Cycling

Bicycle racks can be found on Oxford Street close to the entrance to St James’ and also on the corner of Oxford Street and Whitworth Street near Manchester Oxford Road station. Secure bike parking is available at Oxford Road station. Please speak to Northern Rail for access.
