Data preparation and transformation

Discover how to prepare and transform data effectively in Power BI using the Query Editor and a range of essential techniques.

In this unit you’ll:

Use the Query Editor to import data from various sources and set appropriate data types
Establish relationships between datasets and assess overall data quality
Identify and resolve common data issues such as missing or duplicate entries
Transform datasets by filtering, aggregating, subsetting, adding columns, and merging data using different joins

Developing reports and dashboards

Learn how to design effective reports and dashboards in Power BI, with practical guidance on visuals, interactivity, and using DAX for custom calculations.

In this unit you’ll:

Create basic reports and analyse key elements and visuals
Design interactive dashboards with filters, buttons, bookmarks, and drill-down features
