This apprenticeship is ideal for:

Eligibility

Regardless of age or prior attainment, anyone can undertake an apprenticeship provided they are learning new skills and are employed in England, in a relevant role. Kaplan will support you to assess the job role suitability as part of your application.

To do this apprenticeship employers may specify that candidates must have at least a grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English. If apprentices don’t have this level of maths and English, Kaplan offers free resources and support to make sure they develop their understanding and application of the subjects by the end of their apprenticeship.

Apprentices typically have one of the following:

2 A Levels or International Baccalaureate or any other Level 3 qualification such as a BTEC Extended Diploma
A Level 3 Apprenticeship
12 months of work experience in the last 24 months if they do not have any other Level 3 qualifications

Learner milestones

This 18-month programme transitions learners from foundational strategy to advanced technical architecture. It blends high-level AI governance with hands-on automation engineering to create a well-rounded Productivity Architect, underpinned by industry-recognised certifications in AI Transformation and low-code/no-code productivity tools and implementation.

Months 1-6

Strategic Architecting

Focus on identifying high-impact automation opportunities and aligning them with organisational goals. Apprentices develop their first ethical proof-of-concepts, mastering the basics of low-code workflow design and responsible implementation.

Learning to spot manual inefficiencies and build robust cases for automation.
Applying responsible AI principles to ensure all digital solutions are fair and transparent.
Mapping out business processes and building initial automated proof of concepts.
Aligning digital transformation goals with overarching organisational strategy.
Exploration of AI-driven low-code/no-code tools to enable automation of processes.

Months 7-12

Advanced Engineering

The transition into technical depth, architecting complex, data-driven systems that solve real-world operational challenges. During this phase, apprentices deploy intelligent agents and bots, supported by robust governance and testing frameworks.
