Mental health expert, Ross McWilliam talks managing stress when studying

The fifth episode of our new YouTube series, Career Goals, is now available to watch… and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

We all know that January isn’t usually the happiest month of the year. But if you’re looking for inspiration, our fourth episode of Career Goals will certainly bring that.

This episode saw host, Kelsey Haslam, joined by mental wellbeing expert, coach, and “the man who’s changed a million lives,” Ross McWilliam. Ross provides tips, advice and resources that will help you on your journey to reaching your career goals.

Key topics discussed

Introductions

Ross talks through how he got to the position he is in today, how he maintains a positive mindset and his career background so far.

Never have I ever

Kelsey and Ross play a game of Never have I ever where we find out more about Ross’ career and mindset.

Some topics include how to make the best out of a bad situation and how to recover from making work mistakes.

Industry myths

Kelsey reads out a variety of statements relating to workplace stress and pressures. Some of the topics discussed include remote and hybrid working environments, apprenticeships and the support system surrounding them, and how to build up resilience and the ability to adapt and thrive.

Final thoughts

The closing question is asked: what does ‘career goals’ mean to you?
