From 31 March 2025, new government regulations will require all businesses and non-domestic premises in England to separate their waste into three key categories:
- Dry recyclable materials – plastic, metal, glass, paper, and card
- Food waste
- Black bin waste (residual waste)
At Kaplan, we’re committed to sustainability and doing our part to reduce waste. That’s why we’re introducing new recycling centres across all our locations, making it easier for students, visitors, and staff to recycle correctly and contribute to a greener future.
What’s changing?
Each of our centres will have clearly marked recycling stations where you can separate your waste into the correct bins. While bin locations may vary slightly between centres, the system itself will be the same across all sites — so once you know where to put your waste, you’ll be able to use the facilities anywhere.
The key changes include:
- Dedicated bins for recycling (plastic, metal, glass, paper, and card)
- Separate bins for food waste
- Clear guidance on what goes where.
All our centres have local waste collection services in place, ensuring that our recycling efforts are handled responsibly.
