Introduction

Kaplan has a wealth of experience in designing and delivering Accountancy Apprenticeship programmes, particularly within the AAT qualification, which can then lead to the esteemed CIMA, ACA and ACCA accountancy qualifications. We have been delivering Apprenticeships for over 15 years and are the largest private provider of Apprenticeships in the Accountancy sector.

In 2016, almost 25% of all new AAT apprentices were trained by Kaplan, many progressing onto further professional qualification training. We have won the AAT Apprenticeship Provider of the Year award for the last 3 consecutive years; such is the quality of our training and experience in this sector.

What's included

Kaplan apprentices are supported throughout their whole programme by a dedicated Talent Coach, experienced in the business area they are coaching, who will help them to contextualise their learning and reflect on their work performance and any development needs. This approach will ensure your apprentice develops a deep commercial understanding of business and, most importantly, your business. Because of this, they’ll make better decisions and have greater impact in the work they complete for you.

We are a full service provider and can support on all aspects of Apprenticeships including extensive recruitment services, to ensure you find the right candidate for your organisation. We also manage all of the administrative aspects of registering your apprentices onto a scheme, minimising hassle for you.

Skills and behaviours
Through milestone maps created for each programme, we develop a learning journey that combines the Technical Qualification with access to up to 25 online Skills e-learning sessions that explore the skill or behaviour in more detail, and help apprentices think about how they can apply it more effectively in their role.

Monitoring and support
Each apprentice is assigned their own dedicated Talent Coach for the duration of their Apprenticeship. Via a series of regular proactive check-in points, the talent coach is the ’go to person’ with any questions about their programme or if they need additional support. They will also work with your apprentice to create a unique Milestone Map, which will detail all of the key work, learning and development milestones they personally need for the achievement of their Apprenticeship.

End Point Assessment
All elements within our programmes are geared towards the main aim of getting the learner ready to take their End Point Assessment (EPA). EPA is an essential part of all Apprenticeship programmes as through completing and passing it, Apprentices gain their Apprenticeship.

Qualification structure

Qualification levels indicate how advanced a qualification is, and there is overlap across different ones. For example, Level 2 is equivalent to the first year of AAT, or GCSE grades A* - C, a Level 2 NVQ, and so on. Apprenticeships start from Level 2, all the way to Level 7, equal to a professional accountant, postgraduate diploma, or master's degree.
