Who is ACCA for?

ACCA is ideal for those who would like a career in accountancy or finance, or wish to become a Chartered Accountant.

If you have an accountancy or finance degree, or are AAT qualified, you will be able to start the ACCA Professional qualification.

If you are brand new to accountancy, but have the equivalent of 2 A-Levels or 3 GCSE’s you should start ACCA Knowledge, before progressing onto the Professional qualification. Alternatively, AAT may also be a good entry point for you.

What will I learn?

During the ACCA qualification, you will study topics including financial management, corporate reporting, taxation and audit, leadership and ethics.

The skills you pick up from these topics will help you progress your career in accountancy and open up new career paths for the future.

ACCA is a challenging qualification but with the help and guidance of Kaplan and their tutors, becoming an ACCA member is within reach.

How long does it take to qualify as an ACCA Chartered accountant?

On average, it takes most students 3 years to complete the Professional qualification. There are 14 exams across 2 levels, with most students able to complete up to 4 papers each year.

What can I do when I qualify?

The ACCA qualification opens up many career opportunities in

  • a global accountancy firm
  • external auditing
  • banking
  • corporate finance

Upon qualification, ACCA members can expect their salary to increase significantly, with newly qualified members earning up to £40,000 plus benefits in the UK*.

I would recommend the ACCA qualification due to its reputation and global presence. Kaplan provides first-class tuition and I have always had a positive experience.
