The way Apprenticeships are funded is changing. From April 2017, any employer with a staff payroll bill of over £3 million per year will be affected by the Apprenticeship Levy.

The Levy will support learning and development across your business to upskill existing staff or recruit fresh talent.

Although the benefits will be seen across the business, it does mean there are additional administrative requirements; including registering apprentices and keeping their data up to date. This can be managed through our service, cutting down on administrative time for your business.

To realise the benefits you will need to:

Understand

the levy and how it works; including N.I. breaks and non-English employees.

Plan

for an effective utilisation; forecasting cumulative allocation and spend.

Monitor

your balance and agree policies for budget control.

Manage

the flow of funding from your Digital Account to your training provider(s).

Making your apprenticeship programme a success

We are one of the largest apprenticeship providers to the financial and accountancy industries. Through our experience we know that successful programmes are achieved through effective partnerships and collaboration.

We work with both apprentices and managers to get the best out of their learning. We ensure the apprentices’ knowledge and skills are adding value and translating to the office floor. To support this, we ask that managers understand the commitments of the course and provide opportunities for apprentices to utilise their training.

It was clear to us that Kaplan was the ideal partner for us in our staff development venture. They are a highly reputable provider in the financial industry and the results from their students speak for themselves.
