Kaplan is proud to announce that we have won Excellence in Learner Support at the Apprenticeship & Training Awards (ATA) 2026, recognising the outstanding support we provide to apprentices throughout their training journey.
The awards ceremony took place on 3 March 2026, celebrating organisations that are making a significant impact across the apprenticeship and training sector.
Winning this award highlights Kaplan’s commitment to supporting learners not only academically, but also personally and professionally — helping apprentices build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to succeed in their careers.
Recognising a holistic approach to learner support
At Kaplan, learner support is designed to be truly holistic. Apprentices benefit from a range of services that support both their professional development and personal well-being.
This includes dedicated Talent Coaches, specialist inclusion and well-being teams, careers guidance, academic support available nearly year-round, and innovative initiatives such as Enrichment Weeks.
Importantly, Kaplan delivers this support at scale, supporting thousands of apprentices across the UK while maintaining a high level of personalised guidance.
The strength of this approach has also been recognised by Ofsted, which rated Kaplan’s personal development provision as Outstanding.
Supporting learners every step of the way
Kaplan’s learner support model focuses on providing tailored support that adapts to each apprentice’s needs.
Personalised coaching and mentoring, and support
Every apprentice is supported by a dedicated Talent Coach, who provides one-to-one guidance and personalised support throughout the apprenticeship.
This relationship often has a transformational impact on learners, helping them navigate academic challenges, workplace expectations, and personal barriers with confidence.
Kaplan’s Inclusion and Well-being colleagues work closely with learners to ensure that everyone has the support they need to succeed.
Career development and confidence building
Kaplan’s Careers Champions and Talent Coach teams are trained in careers information, advice, and guidance (CIAG), helping apprentices develop clear career goals and build the confidence to achieve them.
Apprentices are also encouraged to take part in additional opportunities such as mentoring, skills competitions, volunteering, and speaking at careers events.
These experiences help learners build essential professional skills and confidence for the workplace.
Support beyond the classroom
Kaplan’s award-winning Enrichment and Inclusion Weeks take place four times a year and focus on developing life skills alongside professional development.
Sessions cover topics such as financial well-being, stress management, building healthy boundaries, and career insights from industry professionals.
These initiatives help apprentices develop resilience and workplace readiness while strengthening their confidence.
Delivering real impact for learners

Learner feedback also highlights the impact of Kaplan’s support services.
Kaplan continues to explore new ways to support apprentices through innovation and technology.
Working closely with employers
A key part of Kaplan’s learner support model is its close collaboration with employers.
Kaplan works with organisations from the outset to ensure apprentices receive the support they need both in the workplace and in their learning programme.
Line managers are actively involved in learner progress reviews and are provided with guidance on supporting apprentices effectively. Kaplan also works with employers to develop tailored learning experiences, such as business simulations and skills workshops, designed to meet specific workforce needs.
This collaborative approach helps ensure apprentices develop the skills, confidence, and professional behaviours needed to succeed in their roles.
Continuing to raise the bar for learner support
Winning Excellence in Learner Support at the Apprenticeship & Training Awards 2026 reflects Kaplan’s ongoing commitment to empowering learners and helping them reach their full potential.
As the training and apprenticeship landscape continues to evolve, Kaplan remains focused on delivering innovative, inclusive, and high-quality support that enables learners to succeed — both during their apprenticeship and throughout their careers.
