As one of the fastest growing crimes in the world, the threat of a cyber security attack is here to stay. According to the latest findings from the UK government’s Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2020 (1.14MB PDF), almost half of businesses (46%) and a quarter of charities (26%) reported having cyber security breaches or attacks in the last 12 months.

Accounting for over 50% of all attacks, the Finance and Business and Professional Services sectors have become the most attacked sectors in EMEA, as reported by NTT Security in their 2021 Global Threat Intelligence Report (8.3MB PDF).

Understanding the threats and the level of financial and reputational risk and how to protect against cyber crime is a responsibility of every employee, not just the IT department.
